Nepalese Army

Nepalese Army or Nepal Army is the major force of Nepalese Defence Force. Nepalese Army also consists of Nepal Army Air Service and has no navy. Service in the Nepalese Army is voluntary and the minimum age of enrollment is 18 years of age. The total personnel of Nepalese Army are about 95,000 with about 1,070 females in the force.
Nepalese Army is divided into six divisions:
Eastern | Central | Western | Mid-Western | Far-Western | Valley, in addition there are three (3) brigades: Aviation Brigade, Parachute Brigade and Security Brigade, with the Army headquarter in Katmandu.
