Secret Intelligence Service (MI6)

The Secret Intelligence Service (SIS), familiar to many as MI6 (Military Intelligence Setion 6) is British foreign intelligence service. The Service Headquarter is based at Vauxhall Cross in London, UK. The Service was established in 1909 to control the flow of secret intelligence operations in UK and abroad. It main aim is to promote and defend the national security, economic well-being of UK.
Went to become active during the First World War, monitoring the rise of Germany, Second World War, Cold War, protecting the country from the Russian communist and influence.
Captain George Mansfield Smith-Cumming was the first director of MI6, who used to sign with his initial “C” in green ink. This evolve as a tradtion for future directors of MI6 sining with initial “C”.
